I used to start my week with a list of interested prospects that I needed to call; now I found myself struggling to come up with a few names. Annuity sales leads were getting harder and harder to come by. There had to be an alternate method to coming up with leads that I could use and have more success.

Maybe the program that I had been selling no longer appealed to today’s investor. While annuities used to only be popular with self-employed high wage earners, they were also becoming more popular with soon to be retirees looking for a secure investment option. I was open for new ideas so I decided to enroll in the program. I couldn’t be happier with the way that everything turned out.

Once I again I find myself sitting down at my desk on a Monday morning with a long list of prospects to call. The new selling system that I have been using has opened up many doors and shed light on a ton of new opportunities that I have been actively using to find new leads.

I had been completely ignoring specific demographics of people and instead focusing my attention on the same demographic for the past decade. Once I learned how to break into these new markets my phone started ringing off the hook.

In today’s economy, people may not have as much money to invest or they may be leery about putting their hard earned dollars into any type of investment. This is because they started off on the wrong foot by subscribing to the wrong system. Either they believed that all systems were created equally, or they thought that their sales knowledge would be a cover all for selling annuities.

Just because you have sold other investments before does not mean that you will be successful in selling annuities. Annuities are a unique type of investment and while they can appeal to a very diverse group of people, you must make them appeal to prospective clients that are uncertain about what types of investments they are looking to make.

With the knowledge supplied by a strong selling system you will be able to find prospects and successfully sell annuities with ease. If you make the mistake of subscribing to a substandard program, you will not be able to compete with the other, more skilled agents in annuity sales.
